The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is a four-acre memorial to FDR located at the southernmost point of Roosevelt Island, in the East River between Manhattan Island and Queens. It was designed by the architect Louis Kahn. The NYT wrote that the park, "creates an exalted, austere public space, at once like the prow of a ship and a retreat for meditation."
The material I design for the park focuses on the simple beauty of the white marble architecture and stunning city backdrop. I create image-focused designs that emphasize the magnificence of the park itself. Since I stated working with the park in 2015, I have created various signage, mailers, brochures and web materials. Working with illustrator Victo Ngai, I have also created a specialty products to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of FDR’s Four Freedoms Speech.
